With a distinguished career spanning over three and a half decades, His artistic journey is defined by a deep commitment to the stage and an evolving presence in modern media. His academic background uniquely informs his approach to performance; as a graduate of English Literature, he brings a profound understanding of narrative structure, subtext, and the human condition to every role he undertakes. Since February 1990, he has been a constant force in the Bangladeshi theatrical landscape. He dedicated 18 years to Subachan Nattya Songsod before transitioning in 2008 to BoT Tala, where he continued to serve as both a core performer and an organizer, contributing to the group’s vision and production excellence. His craft is rooted in an extensive and diverse education under global and local visionaries. His foundational training began in 1990 with a three-month intensive led by Syed Jamil Ahmed, followed by specialized training with the late S.M. Solayman. His international perspective was shaped through high-level residencies, including a physical theatre workshop with Clive Barker (University of Warwick, UK) via the British Council, and a Master Class in character creation with Deirdre Kelly Lavarakas and Michael Howell (Paradise Island Express, USA). Furthering his expertise in direction and research, He participated in a study of contemporary German stage drama with Barbara Mundel (German Cultural Center) and a Forum Theater research residency with Mr. Ahasan Ahamed of Dhaka University & Dr. Salek Khan. This rigorous background has made him a versatile performer across multiple media. His experience ranges from traditional stage and TV drama to specialized forms such as Street Theater, Forum Theater, and Invisible Theater. Today, he successfully bridges the world of classical performance and the contemporary media industry. Actively working as a media actor and professional model, he blends the intellectual depth of a literature scholar with the discipline of a theatre veteran, bringing a nuanced and versatile presence to the screen and commercial storytelling.
