Samia Kader Dia has been closely connected to Bottala, a performance space, since childhood, introduced to the theater group through her father’s passion for culture and theater. Growing up, she was drawn to performance, beginning with stage appearances at Nalonda High School, where she participated in plays and dramas that nurtured her early interest in acting. Her first formal stage drama was performed at the National Museum of Bangladesh, a significant step in her journey as a theatre artist. Alongside her work in drama, she developed a love for poetry, even recording a poem at the Bangladesh Radio Station. Poetry became a natural extension of her artistic expression, complementing her involvement in theatre. Throughout her journey, her father’s influence remained central, shaping her appreciation for cultural activities and guiding her toward Bottala Theatre Group. This connection has continued into her adult life, where she balances her dedication to theatre and poetry with her academic pursuits. Currently, she is preparing for her final graduation exams with honours, while maintaining her commitment to Bottala and the cultural values that have defined her path.
