Sharmin Rahman Khan is a multidisciplinary artist, television producer, and dedicated theatre practitioner whose creative career has spanned over two decades. Since beginning her journey in theatre in 1999, she has remained actively involved in the performing arts, building a strong presence through her passion for storytelling, stagecraft, and cultural expression. Throughout her theatrical career, she has performed in several notable productions, including Khandani Kiccha, Bou, Tirthankar, Khona, Ekjon Ruhul Amin, Dhamail, Jatugriha, and Bannyatherium, earning recognition for her expressive presence and artistic versatility. Beyond performance, Sharmin has also contributed to theatre through organizational leadership. She served as the Finance Director of Bottola Theatre for two years, where she played an important role in overseeing the group’s financial planning and organizational management while continuing her artistic involvement with the ensemble. Academically trained in Fine Arts with both undergraduate and postgraduate specialization in Painting, Sharmin brings a unique visual sensibility to her work across different creative mediums. Alongside her theatre career, she has established herself in television as a producer and presenter, contributing to drama, music, documentary, and live programming with a distinctive artistic perspective. Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to culture, emotion, and meaningful human stories.
