Ashraful Ashru is a promising actor in the Bangladeshi theatre scene, actively engaged in stage performance and theatrical practice with the theatre troupe BotTala.
Alongside performing in various districts across Bangladesh, he has also participated in the prestigious Bharat Rang Mahotsav, organised by the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi, India. Recognised as one of South Asia’s most significant international theatre festivals, the experience broadened his artistic perspective and enriched his theatrical journey.
In addition to stage productions, Ashraful Oshru regularly takes part in BotTala’s street theatre and socially conscious performances. His notable acting works include Khona, Rise and Shine, Sokhi Rongomala, Bonyotherium, Yojongondha Maya, Jatugriha, and Tumii Bangladesh. Through each production, he has drawn attention for his expressive acting style and emotionally sensitive stage presence.
Currently, he is employed at a private organisation. His interest in arts and culture began at an early age. During childhood, he was associated with Shohojatri Khelaghar Ashor in Dhaka. Later, after completing an acting training course at Actors Studio, he joined BotTala and gradually established himself as a dedicated theatre practitioner.
