Eva Afrose Khan

Associated with BotTala since 2019, Eva Afrose Khan was previously involved with Palakar Theatre Group from 2005 to 2014. After completing her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English Literature, she enrolled in the Prachyanat School of Acting and Design in 2005. As a student of the 9th batch, securing first position upon completion of the course deepened her passion for theatre. Alongside acting, she has taken on various backstage and organizational responsibilities throughout her theatre journey. For BotTala’s children’s theatre initiative, Abhinoye Hatekhori, she developed the scripts for Amra Sobai Raja and Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne 0.1. After completing a four-month acting workshop at Spardha Academy of Performing Arts, she performed in the play Gol Matha Chokha Matha. Professionally, she has been teaching drama to children and directing annual school productions at Scholastica School for the past 15 years. She also has a deep passion for cinema. She completed courses at Amitabh Reza Chowdhury’s Cinema Pathshala, Mezbauer Rahman Sumon’s Gadhar Pal School, and Tanvir Mokammel’s Film School. Most recently, she earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Film and Television from Pathshala – South Asian Institute of Film and Television, and has made several short films. From an early age, she has been actively involved in reading circles, organizations, and various cultural activities. She studied classical music for eight years under the late Ustad Akhtar Sadmani and later trained in Nazrul Sangeet for three years under renowned artist Khalid Hossain. Before that, she also learned tabla for a short period. As an enlisted voice artist of Bangladesh Betar, she has lent her voice to radio drama and dubbing projects for televisions.
