Manjurul Islam Rony

Manjurul Islam Rony is a permanent member of BotTala Theatre and has been actively associated with the group since 2015. He completed both his BBA and MBA from the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB). Professionally, he currently serves as a Senior Merchandiser and Head of the Knitwear Department at a buying house.

Rony’s involvement with BotTala stems from his deep passion for theatre and stage performance. Among his notable acting works is his portrayal of Lieutenant General Zia in the acclaimed production Crutch-er Colonel, a performance that received appreciation from audiences as well as fellow theatre practitioners. He has also performed in BotTala productions such as Khona, Sundarban Gatha, and Modhu Shikari.

Alongside acting, Rony has made significant contributions in the field of production management. More than fifty successful stagings of Crutch-er Colonel were carried out under his supervision and coordination. His organisational capability, dedication, and sincere commitment to theatre have played an important role in strengthening and sustaining BotTala’s activities.
