Mizanur Rahman began his journey in theatre in 1989. Since then, he has actively participated in numerous theatre workshops, continuously enriching his artistic practice and contribution to the performing arts. As an actor, he has been involved in several audience-acclaimed productions and has also played important organizational roles through various editorial and administrative responsibilities within his theatre group.
Alongside his stage career, he has remained actively engaged in television drama for many years, working both as an actor and a director.
His notable stage performances include Khandani Kissa, written and directed by S. M. Solaiman; Rastra Bonam, written and directed by Mamunur Rashid; Tirthankar, written by Samina Lutfa Nitra and directed by Fayez Zahir; and Khona, written by Samina Lutfa Nitra and directed by Mohammad Ali Haider.
As a founding member and Chief Executive of Bottala, he has served the organization in leadership roles on multiple occasions. He has also actively contributed to the organization and participation of numerous theatre festivals.
Among Bottala’s notable productions, he has performed in Ekjon Ruhul Amin, Dhamail, Khona, The Trial of Mallam Ilyia, Jatugriha, and Sokhi Rongomala.
In addition to participating in invited theatre festivals in Dhaka and across Bangladesh with Bottala’s acclaimed productions, the troupe has also represented Bangladesh in international theatre festivals in India at the invitation of various theatre organizations. One of the most significant milestones was Bottala’s participation and performance at the 2024 Bharat Rang Mahotsav, organized by India’s prestigious National School of Drama.
