Oleander Baroi

Oleander Baroi is a dedicated theatre actor who has been associated with BotTala since 2019. She was born on 21 October 1988 in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. Her journey in theatre began with Nataron, where she was involved from 2009 to 2012 and performed in the production Amaboshar Kara. She later joined Dasharupak, where she was involved from 2012 to 2014 and performed in the production Bisharjan. In 2012, Oleander enrolled in the Prachyanat School of Acting and Design, Batch 21, where she developed her acting skills and deepened her understanding of theatre and performance. She completed both her B.A. and M.A. degrees in English Literature from Dhaka International University. Her artistic journey also includes four years of training in Nazrul Sangeet and Shashreeyo Sangeet under Dhubaparishad, from 1998 to 2002. This training helped enrich her artistic expression and cultural knowledge. In addition, she completed a professional course in Motion Graphics Design at Pathshala, expanding her creative skills into the field of visual media. Alongside her career in theatre, Oleander works professionally as a Editor, Compositor and Colorist at Ogopogo Studios, where she combines her artistic sensibility with technical expertise in post-production and visual storytelling. As an actor, she has performed in various stage productions, including Khona, Bonnatherium, Shokhi Rongomala, and Cratcher Colonel. Her diverse experience in theatre, music, visual design, and post-production reflects her versatility, creativity, and continued dedication to the performing and visual arts.

ওলিয়েন্ডার বাড়ৈ একজন নিবেদিতপ্রাণ থিয়েটারকর্মী, যিনি ২০১৯ সাল থেকে বটতলার সঙ্গে যুক্ত। তিনি ২১ অক্টোবর ১৯৮৮ সালে বাংলাদেশের ময়মনসিংহে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন।

২০০৯ সালে নাট্যদল নটরন-এর মাধ্যমে তাঁর থিয়েটারচর্চার যাত্রা শুরু হয়। ২০০৯ থেকে ২০১২ সাল পর্যন্ত তিনি দলটির সঙ্গে যুক্ত ছিলেন এবং ‘অমাবস্যার কারা’ প্রযোজনায় অভিনয় করেন। পরবর্তীতে ২০১২ থেকে ২০১৪ সাল পর্যন্ত তিনি দশরূপক-এর সঙ্গে যুক্ত ছিলেন এবং ‘বিসর্জন’ প্রযোজনায় অভিনয় করেন।

২০১২ সালে ওলিয়েন্ডার প্রাচ্যনাট স্কুল অব অ্যাক্টিং অ্যান্ড ডিজাইন-এর ২১তম ব্যাচে ভর্তি হন। সেখানে তিনি অভিনয় বিষয়ে প্রশিক্ষণ গ্রহণের পাশাপাশি থিয়েটার ও অভিনয়শিল্প সম্পর্কে তাঁর জ্ঞান ও দক্ষতা আরও গভীর করেন। তিনি ঢাকা ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি থেকে ইংরেজি সাহিত্যে স্নাতক (বি.এ.) ও স্নাতকোত্তর (এম.এ.) ডিগ্রি অর্জন করেন।

তাঁর শিল্পীজীবনের আরেকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অধ্যায় সংগীতচর্চা। ১৯৯৮ থেকে ২০০২ সাল পর্যন্ত তিনি ধ্রুপরিষদের অধীনে চার বছর নজরুলসংগীত ও শাস্ত্রীয় সঙ্গীত প্রশিক্ষণ নেন। এই সংগীতচর্চা তাঁর শিল্পীসত্তা ও সাংস্কৃতিক জ্ঞানকে সমৃদ্ধ করেছে। পাশাপাশি, পাঠশালা থেকে মোশন গ্রাফিক্স ডিজাইনে একটি পেশাদারি কোর্স সম্পন্ন করে তিনি ভিজ্যুয়াল মিডিয়ার ক্ষেত্রেও তাঁর সৃজনশীল দক্ষতা বিস্তৃত করেছেন।

থিয়েটারের পাশাপাশি ওলিয়েন্ডার পেশাগতভাবে Ogopogo Studios-এ এডিটর, কম্পোজিটর ও কালারিস্ট হিসেবে কাজ করছেন। পোস্ট-প্রোডাকশন ও ভিজ্যুয়াল স্টোরিটেলিংয়ের ক্ষেত্রে তিনি তাঁর শিল্পবোধের সঙ্গে কারিগরি দক্ষতার সমন্বয় ঘটিয়ে কাজ করে চলেছেন।

অভিনেত্রী হিসেবে তিনি ‘খনা’, ‘বন্যথেরিয়াম’, ‘সখী রঙ্গমালা’ এবং ‘ক্রাচের কর্নেল’সহ বিভিন্ন মঞ্চপ্রযোজনায় অভিনয় করেছেন। থিয়েটার, সংগীত, ভিজ্যুয়াল ডিজাইন ও পোস্ট-প্রোডাকশনে তাঁর বহুমাত্রিক অভিজ্ঞতা তাঁর সৃজনশীলতা, দক্ষতা ও বহুমুখী শিল্পীসত্তার পরিচয় বহন করে। অভিনয় ও ভিজ্যুয়াল শিল্পের প্রতি তাঁর নিরন্তর আগ্রহ ও নিষ্ঠা তাঁর শিল্পীজীবনকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করে চলেছে।
