Sanjana Farah

Sanjana Farah is an architect and theatre practitioner whose work explores the intersection of architecture, performance, visual design, and cultural practice.

In 2022, she joined BotTala’s acting school, Actors Studio, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her artistic journey with the theatre troupe BotTala. In the same year, she played a central character in Shompurno Kalponik, a stage adaptation based on an absurdist story by Bimal Bandyopadhyay. The production became a significant milestone in her development as an actor. She also designed the poster for Shompurno Kalponik, reflecting her ability to bring together her architectural background and visual creativity in theatre.

As a member of BotTala, she has since performed in several notable productions, including Khona, Sokhi Rongomala, and Tumii Bangladesh. She also participated in the prestigious Bharat Rang Mahotsav, organised by the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi, India. The experience broadened her artistic perspective and deepened her engagement with theatre and performance.

Currently pursuing her master’s degree in Germany alongside her professional work, Sanjana has also begun exploring theatre practices within the German cultural context. Her evolving artistic journey brings together her background in architecture with her growing interests in acting, visual design, performance, and cultural practice.
