The plot centers on a century-old Sirish tree, a Kadam, and a Mahogany tree in Chittagong’s CRB (Central Railway Building) area, who become deeply alarmed for their existence upon hearing plans to construct a private hospital on their land. Through the painful experiences of a deceased Ashoka tree and an endangered Nypa palm (Golpata), the play illustrates how trees in places like Suhrawardy Udyan and the Sundarbans are being uprooted to make way for commercial structures and power plants. While the Kadam and Mahogany trees initially remain indifferent—believing their "VIP" status will protect them—the insights from a Baobab tree lead them to realize that no one is truly safe from the crushing gears of so-called development.
